In the Rectorate of the University of Novi Sad on April 6, starting at 8 am, the 17th national championship in robotics was held. The EUROBOT competition is intended for students and young people up to 30 years old who are engaged in amateur robotics.

In addition to the 32 home teams, this year, two foreign teams, one from France and one from the United Kingdom, took part in this championship. The three best placed domestic teams in both categories will represent our country at the international final competition in France, taking place from May 30 to June 1 this year.

The theme of this year’s competition is Atom factory, in honor of Dmitry Mendeleyev, a great chemist, who revolutionized our understanding of matter 150 years ago and made the classification of chemical elements, as it is still used today. Robots had the task of sorting packs, which actually represent atoms, and in that task they were completely autonomous, that is, nobody managed them.

One of the participants in this competition was also David Radulovic and his team from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade. In the Creativity Center of UBG, on the 3D printer, they printed parts for their robot, with which they won the seventh place.

It is also planned that David will give a workshop at the Creativity Center of the University of Belgrade regarding the use of 3D printers.
