Within activities 2.3 and 2.4 IF4TM partners from Serbia visited University of Maribor regarding capacity building training program on December 7-9, 2016. The purpose of the Study visit was development of new and modification of existing universities’ regulatory documents in compliance with new policies and law amendments (Act 2.3) as well as implementation of capacity building programme for university staff for implementation of the new legal framework for the third mission (Act 2.4). IF4TM partners had an opportunity to identify good practice, learn more about what University of Maribor, institutes and offices are doing to promote technology transfer and support the innovations as well as to improve cooperation between University and Industry. In this way they were able to gain valuable experience for development of similar initiatives and structures in Serbia.

The Study Visit included a set of presentation on:

• Website development center of the University of Maribor (http://www.vzhodna.si/),
• Good practices in technology, innovation and knowledge transfer in the institution Univerzum Minerva,
• Competition of innovators for awards of Chamber of Commerce,
• TechnoCenter of the University of Maribor and Experiences in technology transfer

Training program also included visits and presentation of:

• University incubator,
• RAZ:UM (Analysis of legal framework for TTI),
• Faculty of Medicine (Institute for biomedical sciences)
