In the scope of project IF4TM activity 4.2 consists of five one-day trainings “IP Protection and IP Management” which should be held at HEIs. The target groups were research and teaching staff, as well as other participants who are in some manner interested in this topic.

The third training was held on 11 May 2017 at TCAS. It was dedicated to prediction of costs and revenues for a business model. Several examples of cash flow tables were presented and explained.

Within the Competition for the best student idea the third day of training was held on pitching for startups, for teams participating in the competition on May 10 by the Business Technology Incubator (BITF), in the premises of Science Technology Park Belgrade.

Two start-up trainings were organized at Faculty of Mechanical engineering in Niš on 5th May 2017 as a support to participants of competition for the best student ideas.
The third training was Finance for start-ups. It was related to the sources of funding, case studies, defining the financial structure, and cash flows.

As part of the Competition for the best student idea, the first training for students of University of Kragujevac was organized in Business Innovation Centre on 5th May 2017. The training Development of Business Model is the first of four modules for participants of the Competition where students had an opportunity build their knowledge on concepts of business model based on the Canvas method.

As a support to participants of competition for the best student ideas, start-up trainings were organized at Faculty of Mechanical engineering in Niš on 4th and 5th May 2017.
Trainings, held on 4th May 2017, consist of two modules: Business model development and Business model validation. Teams (or their representatives) were introduced with the procedures for describing, analysing and designing business models based on Canvas model. The topics that were presented are: customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, and other key business key elements.

The students were informed with basic concept of product, sales and market orientation through examples. Also, they got information how to define market size, market potential, etc. They saw what the steps in market understanding are and how to interview potential customers. During that process, the students had the chance to practice its capabilities in market research.

The fourth day of training was dedicated to the presentation of a business idea. Students were introduced to the ’’formula’’ of pitch presentation, i.e. to the content and order of topics in a presentation. It alludes students should first present a concrete business problem, as well as offering an answer to the question how their start-up company solves the problem.

The third day of training was dedicated to financial aspects of a business idea. Viz, students were thoroughly introduced to the concept, structure and types of expenses, income models, sources of start-up company financing, balance sheet and profit and loss account.
