Open Innovation is a concept in which companies can promote their competitiveness on the market and reduce the costs of research and development by opening the challenges they are faced with in their business environment towards the external world, i.e. by efficient incorporating the external knowledge in all phases of business process, from product development to its positioning on the market.

Products of open innovation, which surround us, have imposed different principles of companies’ business strategies. Some of these products are social network of websites My Space, multilingual online encyclopaedia Wikipedia, open-code software such as Linux operative system. They created a value for the entire line of public goods so that everyone can use them and no one is excluded from their use. In this way, many companies famous all over the world such as Procter&Gamble, H&M, LEGO, Rolls-Royce, etc. have been developing successfully their business.

The Call is open until April 16, 2019, and application of teams and ideas will be realized by sending an email to poc@kg.ac.rs, stating the names of team members or individuals who independently propose the solution, name of the faculty, study year, index number and contact phone for further communication with the campaign organizer and the company. Students and teams who apply to the Call, will receive further instructions for development and presentation of solutions. Additionally, short meetings with the companies’ representatives will be organized in order to describe the challenges in more details.

The deadline for submitting the proposal solutions is May 15, 2016.

For all additional questions with regards to defined Open Innovation challenges, students can directly contact companies on email addresses provided in PDF files.
