Open Innovation is a concept where companies can improve their competitiveness on the market and reduce the costs of research and development by opening their business models towards the external resources.

Open Innovation Campaign is designed for companies located in Serbia that are ready to open the part of their challenges and seek for solutions outside, particularly in scientific and research community (researchers, students, etc.). in this way companies can benefit from:

Identifying external resources and knowledge for their development and innovative activities
Sustainable connecting to external service providers for the missing knowledge and expertize
Integrating of internal and external knowledge and resources into new system and development and innovative process structure
Increasing the income from selling the research results to other companies.

Besides companies, the Open Innovation Campaign is also designed for members of academic sector, particularly researchers and students of seven Serbian HEIs participating in the project. The concept of cooperation with industry with the aim of solving technical, technological, organizational and other challenges shift the traditional research into direction of practical application, encouraging at the same time innovativeness and creativity.
